Sophienberg Slot is situated high above Strandvejen at Rungsted Kyst, with a great view across the sea to Sweden and surrounded by forest and meadows.

The surroundings already pleased the Kind Christian VI´s wife, Queen Sopie Magdalene. Who builded the first Sophienberg Slot. She wanted a place by the sea where she could make a stop on her jurney to drink tea. The small castle or summerhouse as they called it, was inuagurated in 1744.

The beauteful mainbuilding hold living rooms, restaurant and meeting rooms. The northern pavilion has one large meeting room that can hold up to 100 persons and several smaller meeting rooms and also 1 twin room and 2 family rooms. The southern pavilion holds 26 twin rooms and 1 double room.
